How Long is Your Crochet Project To-Do List?

Apparently, I'm a focused crocheter. Until recently, I never had supplies urging me to hurry up and finish one (or two) projects so I could start the next. Oh, I always have a mental list of crochet items I'd like to make or crochet business tasks I want/need to do. But I've never had a "Waiting in the Wings" list of projects, with yarn bought and ready to be used.

Currently, I'm working on finishing up my "Flowers in Bloom" Scrapbuster afghan and the fourth in a series of infinity scarves which I'll be releasing in an upcoming pattern eBook.

Waiting in the wings is this gorgeous boutique yarn that's going to be turned into a beautiful, assymetrical poncho.

And I'm planning to recreate the pattern my grandmother used to crochet the afghan she made in 1937, which I inherited after she passed.

This is new territory for me...working on two projects at once and having two waiting so impatiently in the wings. More beckon my attention, but I keep telling them to go away until I complete my current To-Do list!

How about you? How long is your Crochet Project To-Do List? What are some of the projects on it? If you happen to need any supplies, I invite you to stop by the Go Crochet Crazy Amazon Store. But especially come tell me what you're working on...perhaps you'll give me more ideas to add to a future list!

  1. Hmmm, let's see...*looks at fingers*

    There's the in-progress color block blanket for my son and DIL;
    The sweater for which I have the yarn;
    And the "use up the scraps" afghan I want to start and finish.

    Plus, I need to decide on Christmas gifts for this year: crochet, cross stitch or ...?

    1. Barbara, you're even ahead of me in regards to thinking about Christmas presents, although I did start slowly making spa cloths as small gifts for each family. :) Let me know what you decide!

    1. I know that feeling, Kim!! *avoids eye contact* I just got rid of a bunch of small leftover skeins with my scrapbuster projects....only to replace them with larger, new skeins. o_0

  3. Wow….yeah….ummm….I need more fingers to count on…between the 3 crochet projects in progress for my own home, the one knitted scarf that I'm just learning to do, and the crochet, beading and jewelry items that are for gifts and for orders to fill for sale…they all took a number (just like at the lunchmeat counter at the grocery store). Naturally the orders to fill come first, gifts are a VERY close second, the knitting is third because I want to incorporate that craft into my business and naturally anything for me comes last. Oh well…I told ya, Mary, I need way more hours in a day!! LOL :)

    1. If you're overwhelmed with work for orders, Monica, that's always a good thing! Let me know when you figure out how to put more hours into the day. :)

    2. Mary, "overwhelm" is a good word to describe it right now, especially as I turn this into a business. That's why your book has been sooooo helpful and comforting to me. Thank you very much for writing it and making it available :) These projects are my passion and I love every minute of it :)

  4. If all of the patterns that I've got bookmarked online count as "on the to-do list" - then firefox informs me that my to-do list is 54 things long.
    As far as things that what's legitimately On the Docket- I've got two things going right now, and have the next three things that I can't wait to start already lined up.

    1. Rain, I'm in the same boat as you....2 currently "on the hook" and 3 now officially in the wings. I added one more over the course of the day. o_0 If Pinterest were any sort of indicator, I'd have about 500 project wannabes lurking in the background, ha ha!

    I am a one project at a time kinda a gal lol. I have lots that are just ideas or patterns I have seen I would like to complete though.
    Wow! I am so looking forward to following your progress with you recreating your Grandmother's afghan from 1937.
    Your yarn for the Poncho looks interesting too, can't wait to see how that works up.
    I am on a quiet spell, purely because of my work schedule right now. I work a 6 week rota and this particular part of that rota is too tiring to do much crochet in the evenings. Good news is today is the last day of the 'hard slog' part so I will be finishing a newborn sleeping bag very soon :-)
